Commercial Launch on trial basis of Voice SMS Service.

   Voice SMS Service on PSTN and Mobile Network of MTNL,Delhi :
 Following shall be the procedure for using this service: 

I     Composing a message: 
1.  Mobile to Mobile & Landline to Mobile:
      Dial 1* followed by recipient number.
2   Landline to Landline.   
Dial 1* followed by recipient number
3.   Mobile to Landline  
   Dial 1* followed by recipient phone number along with STD Code i.e. 011  
II   Retrieve new messages (For Landline & Mobile)
  Dial 1*0* to listen to all new messages.   
III. Retrieve old messages (for Landline & Mobile): 
 Dial 1*1* to listen to all old messages.   

      In case of Mobile customer, notification will appear that a new voice SMS message has  been received from a number.  In case of PSTN line, only ringing will go to the customer and on lifting the PSTN line, he will be able to hear the voice message.  There are various options also available to customer like “ forwarding, deleting, reply, storing” etc. Presently this service will not be available to CDMA customers and Mobile customers in NCR town.

Commercial Conditions:

1. For composing of message one MCU of 60 secs duration for PSTN and Rs. 1/-for mobile user with the provision that on 1 call, only one message can be composed.
2. Retrieval of new message will be free of cost to the subscribers and no forwarding and reply of the message will be allowed. 
3.For  retrieval of message one MCU of 60 secs duration for PSTN and Rs. 1/-for mobile user. Forwarding, retrieval will be allowed in this case    both for PSTN, MOBILE.
4.The subscriber will be allowed to accumulate 40 messages. 41^st message will be entertained by the system using FIFO principle.  The maximum composed duration of each message will be 30 secs, storing/saving of 5 messages of unlimited duration will be permissible for PSTN/MOBILE subscribers.

5.Initially, this service is restricted to only MTNL Delhi subscribers excluding in roamer.
