Garuda  Fixed Wireless (FWP/FWT) Handset - Models and Schemes

Presently, two FWP handsets Huawei ETS 2288, Curietel HTP 801 (without provision for FAX) and two FWT handsets -- Huawei ETS 1201 ,Curietel HTT 801 (with provision for FAX) are being offered to new subscribers. . All these sets support CDMA-1x technology and are capable of delivering data service (i.e. Internet).  

FWT (Fixed Wireless Terminal) is small box is fitted with the antenna and a normal telephone instrument (EPBT) or FAX may be connected to this box. FWP (Fixed Wireless Phone) is a composite device where single telephone instrument is provided to the customer having large size display. There is no wire connection in either FWP or FWT and they are as good as a walky-talky.

Schemes for New Connection of Garuda Fixed Wireless (FWP/FWT)
New Connection (Local / Local+STD Customers)

The registration/Activation fee for New Connection would be Rs.500/- + Service Tax (~561/-). This will be taken at the time of application for New Connection.
The security deposit of Rs. 1000/- to be charged @ Rs.500/- in each bill in first two bills.

New Connection (Local+STD+ISD Customers)

The registration/Activation fee for New Connection would be Rs.500/- + Service Tax (~561/-). This will be taken at the time of application for New Connection.
The security deposit of Rs. 3000/- to be charged @ Rs.500/- in each bill in first six bills.

Payment will be received in cash or DD in favour of “MTNL Garuda” at Sanchar Haats.
