MTNL is offering Garuda RUIM (Removable User Interface Module) Card in postpaid and prepaid. This new addition in Garuda family is almost similar to MTNL’s GSM where MTNL offers Postpaid SIM –Dolphin and Prepaid SIM-Trump. 

 All three mobile Handsets being offered by MTNL presently 

Curitel CX-858 (with Camera and internet),

Hisense C677 (with internet) and

Huawei C300 (without Internet) 

 are having the facility to insert and use RUIM. The subscriber can even use this RUIM with any compatible CDMA handset purchased by from the market (If that set is having compatibility)

 i) Mobile Postpaid with RUIM: 

a) Registration Amount Rs.300/- (Service Tax extra).

b) Talk Time within MTNL local network worth Rs.100/- p.m. for 15 months.    

NOTE: Other tariff components will remain same as the corresponding Mobile Postpaid Tariff Package selected by subscriber. He can select any of the available Garuda Mobile Postpaid Tariff Package. 

ii)   Mobile Prepaid with RUIM: 

a)    Registration Amount Rs.150/- (Service Tax extra)

b)  Bundled Free Talk Time within MTNL local Network worth Rs.1499/- to be used within one year from date of activation, subject to validity of connection (same as in case of prepaid with handset).

c)  Bundled Free Talk Time in any network worth Rs 25/- valid for 7 days (same as  in case of prepaid with handset).

 NOTE: Other tariff components will remain same as the corresponding Prepaid recharge Voucher or Top-up Card, selected by subscriber. 

iii)  Change-of-RUIM Card: 

a) Applicable to both Postpaid and Prepaid connections for Lost RUIM Card   replacement and change from “Handset-based” connection to ‘RUIM- based” connection.

b)  Service Charge: Rs.100/- (Service Tax extra)

The booking of Garuda RUIM is possible from MTNL Sanchaar Haat’s as well as Franchisee.
