  Voice Mail Service (VMS)

Voice mail Service (VMS) of MTNL, commonly known as Telephone Mail Box Service of the Pst Office. The VMS box number is like a telephone number 9 can be printed on visiting card). Any one can call it (unhindered by the busy tone ) and leave messages. The VMS subscriber can then retrieve messages left for him at his convenience from anywhere, any time using type telephone. These services are almost human in their understanding of customer's business needs, so human that we have to call them Intelligent Network Services.

i) Free Phone Service

The service is operational and provides ideal opportunity for business promotion, commerce, Industry and Trade, by subscribing to this service can advertise and sell their products and services on telephone which is the fastest mode. Call charges are paid by the called party, who is the subscriber to this service. The service can also be provided on the existing telephones.
Salient Tariff :
Registration Charges - Rs. 1,500/-
Security Deposit - Rs. 24,000/-
Monthly rental - 4,000/-
Call charges for each unit - Rs. 1.20 (payable by called party)
Additional/ alternate features - Rs. 100/- at a time

ii) Virtual Card Calling Service*

A boon for corporate and those who do not own phones.
Sometimes this is also known as " prepaid calling card". As the name implies, it is an imaginary card to perform phone card functions. It simply has a card number printed on it, which is crucial for all establishments. VCC service allows subscribers to place calls for any tone telephone in the network to any destination local, national or international an have the call fee charged to their personal VCC account. VCC calls are free of charge for the originating telephone line. Card are available in denomination of Rs. 100/-, Rs. 200/- and Rs. 500/- The advantage to customers are:
-Need not own a phone connection.
- Can make calls from any tone phone.
- Need not carry cash for making calls.
- Helps corporates/ individuals in telephone expenditure forecasting and hence budgeting.
- Users can make calls irrespective and their credit. Even of all his telephone connections are DNP, user can make calls anywhere.
- It is much cheaper than hotel phones hence it is very useful for business executives.
Tariff : Normal per unit pulse rate of Rs. 1.20

V) Universal Access Number(UAN)*

The subscriber of this service can be reached nationwide by having a unique national number after subscribing using "User Interactive Dialogue (UID)" The Subscriber can retain the national number even after the office location changes.

VI) Televoting*

This service is very useful for conducting survey/ opinion polls products, services and TV programs, etc. Though Televoting, users/ viewers of products/ services and TV programs, etc. can indicate their opinion or choice by dialing televoting access code number followed by one or tow digits for opinion / choice. After the voting period is over, results are available instantly.
